Quick Tips For Keeping Your Bathroom Squeaky Clean

Considering they are one of the most frequented rooms in any household, it’s no surprise that bathrooms tend to get dirty faster than other spaces. Sure, you are just in there for a few minutes at a time, but when you add up brushing your teeth, washing your hands, showering, shaving, applying makeup, blow drying your hair, and performing the other natural functions the bathroom provides for, it all adds up, and eventually turns into a mess!

Sure, we sometimes give the bathroom a perfunctory once-over with the bathroom wall brush, scrubbing the worst of the most recently collected film and grime off the shower walls and sink, and doing the same to the toilet with its own set of dedicated cleaning tools, but it’s still easy to overlook those sneaky nooks and crannies where dirt and debris tend to stick and stay. No one has the time to do a thorough clean-up job every day, but if you can give your bathroom a regular top-to-bottom cleaning once a week, it will help remove germs, grime, and clutter so you can enjoy a more comfortable and refreshing experience during your daily visits!

Here are some quick tips for keeping your bathroom squeaky clean without having to work too hard!

Sink Sanitization – Place a package of sanitizing wipes near your bathroom sink so they’re conveniently easy to grab. After you’ve brushed your teeth or washed your hands, give the sink and faucet a quick wipe down to prevent water stains and grime.

Shower Wall Wipe – When shower walls are left wet after use, water marks and mineral buildup accumulate as they dry. To prevent this, just wipe down the walls or glass doors with a small squeegee to remove the clinging water. To stop stubborn mineral stains from forming, it’s best to perform a quick wipe down daily.

Toilet TLC – The toilet tends to get neglected because frankly, no one wants to touch it. The problem is that if you don’t give it some regular love and care, you will be exposing yourself to some potentially nasty germs every time you use it, which is pretty much every day! Scrubbing down the toilet inside and out with its designated brushes (we don’t have to tell you to never use them on the sink or shower, right?) and a potent cleaning solution will keep all of that bacteria under control, and make the porcelain look polished and bright. Be sure to store your toilet bowl scrubbers and cleaner beside the toilet for easy access.

Don’t Forget The Floor – Try keeping a mini vacuum in your bathroom along with your broom to suck up the loose hairs and dust that collect so quickly in your bathroom. Be sure to sweep or vacuum behind the toilet, under the cabinets and counters, and in the corners where dirt tends to collect. If your bathroom floor isn’t carpeted, run a mop across it with a bleach solution to keep it nice and spotless.

If you perform these simple cleaning techniques throughout the week, your bathroom will always be squeaky clean!
